Who We Are

Windows Alive is a professional graphic design and installation business dedicated to creating stunning artistic designs on glass for our clients.

We are committed to creating beauty not only in public spaces, but in homes, businesses and other everyday surroundings...but without charging outlandish prices...and without compromising on quality.

Etched Art: What's the best way?

There is no one "best" method to have an etched glass look. Each method has advantages / disadvantages. Glass can be sand-blasted or acid-etched, for example, to create designs that physically glaze the glass. These kinds of etchings are permanent.

There are other methods that give a very similiar look, but are removable. One technique uses a catalytic polymer liquid rolled over a stencil. Finally, there's window film that's cut to a design and applied to glass the same way as window tint.

We use acid-etch or window film. Although each method has a slightly different look, they all can look great with the right design. Let one of our representatives help you make a decision that would be right for your needs.

Actual or Simulated Etched Glass

Etched Door - Example 1 Either way you like, etched glass has a beautiful ability to manipulate ambient light. An interior space can have a completely different look with intelligent use. Etched glass has a well-deserved reputation of solving a host of design challenges by using patterns, textures and varying degrees of opacity.

Whether it's used in public or private spaces, the use of actual etched glass or etched film that simulates the look of etched glass will beautify any environment.

In addition to simple etched glass designs, we also provide customized artwork using computer-aided design techniques. Any design that can be thought of can be generated on our computer and actualized on glass. Because of new technologies and methods, etched glass can be suprisingly low-cost.

Etched glass looks great for so many applications ... anything from custom entryways, office or restaurant dividers, tables, dressing screens, shower stalls, home windows, company logos, business signage or stand-alone glass designs.

Etched Door - Example 2

As in so much of our art, we can make designs do "double duty":

For example, we can diffuse light and reduce the amount of glare coming in, including reducing harmful U.V. rays from the sun, if you desire.

In addition, any design can be executed in a way as to maximize the privacy level you need. Etched glass is the perfect solution for achieving privacy in your entry, bath, or wherever it’s needed, without sacrificing the sunlight that lights your interior spaces.
